When you are in contact with us, for example by visiting our websites or making purchases in our online stores, and whether it is as a private person or as a contact person for a business or a supplier, we process personal data about you. This is in accordance with this privacy policy, and current legislation on the protection of personal data. We log the traffic on broxbox.no anonymously. This information can in no way be traced back to your identity.

2. What your personal data is used for

We collect and process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Establishing and managing the customer relationship. In order to establish and manage your customer relationship, we process your general contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number and payment details. We might also store the IP address used when ordering. The processing basis for the processing for you as a consumer customer is to fulfill the agreement we have entered into with you. If you are a contact person for a business customer/supplier, the processing basis is legitimate interest.
  • We work with reputable carriers for the transport of your ordered goods. In this connection, they provide personal information (name, address and telephone number) that is necessary for them to be able to deliver the goods to you. The basis for processing is to complete our agreement with you.
  • Storage/storage of order and invoice history. We store order information for use in accounting, tax handling and any warranty/return handling. The processing is either necessary to fulfill an agreement with you as a consumer customer, or our legitimate interest when you are the contact person for a business customer/supplier.
  • Sending out marketing, newsletters and other relevant information about our business. In order to be able to communicate offers, tips, news, competitions or anything else that we think will be relevant to you, we process your name and email address. The processing takes place on the basis of the consent of the person who receives the marketing, usually a consumer customer or a contact person at a business customer.
  • Marketing in our own digital platforms. In order for your customer experience to be the best possible, we want to market our products and services by adapting content on our websites based on your personal data, settings, preferences and purchasing and usage patterns. The information used depends on whether you subscribe to our newsletter, or whether you are a customer or visitor. The legal basis for processing is legitimate interest.
  • Marketing in other people's digital platforms. To ensure that we show you relevant advertisements on other digital surfaces, we compile personal data we have about you and link your e-mail address and mobile number with the corresponding identifier and personal data of the relevant media. The legal basis for processing your personal data for this purpose is our legitimate interest. If the marketing is based on cookies, our policy for the use of cookies applies.
  • Information about potential customers and suppliers. For commercial reasons, we process contact information such as name, telephone number and e-mail about potential customers and suppliers.
  • The basis for processing is our legitimate interest linked to safeguarding commercial interests in our business.
  • Recruitment. If you apply for one of our positions, or send us an open application, we will process the personal data you send us in, for example, your CV, application, your certificates, your diploma, any statements from references, internal assessments/interview reports, any personality tests and aptitude tests. Processing of the personal data is necessary to carry out measures prior to any conclusion of an agreement. If you agree to this, application documentation will be retained after a recruitment process has ended in order to be able to assess you for other relevant positions.
  • Security. To ensure good security in all our services, and to uncover or prevent various types of misuse of services, logs are processed on servers, uncovering, clarification and follow-up of security incidents, etc. The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest in, among other things, uncovering fraud or misuse of our services or payment methods. We have assessed that this processing is necessary to safeguard information security and prevent unauthorized disclosure of personal data.

3. Cookies

On our website we use certain cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you download a website. These are used, among other things, to improve your user experience and remember who you are, so that you remain logged in.

The purpose of cookies is to provide the online store with basic functionality such as session management, analysis, personalization and marketing.

First-party cookies are necessary for the website to function. Third-party cookies are used for analysis, marketing and personalization of the website.

You can withdraw your consent to our use of these cookies at any time by going to the settings on your browser and clearing data about cookies.

  • Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics - a web analysis service provided by Google, Inc. The tool provides us with statistical reports that we use to analyze and improve the usability of the website.

In order to measure the use of the website, Google Analytics collects information via cookies. These are text files that are stored in the memory of the browser of those who visit the website. These give us information about, for example, the type of browser you use, how you found our website and which subpages you visited on broxbox.no.

Google Analytics also collects the IP addresses of the users of the website. An IP address is a unique identifier that is assigned to each individual device that connects to the Internet. Google Analytics needs to retrieve this information in order to distinguish users from each other. After collection, the IP addresses are anonymised so that website visitors cannot be traced back to a specific piece of hardware or individual.

  • Facebook Pixel

In order to show you relevant ads, Facebook offers targeting to users of a website. This is possible because the website has installed a so-called "Facebook pixel" - which collects data from those who visit the website. Learn more about the Facebook Pixel here .

Broxbox.no has installed this pixel. We use the data to read statistics and deliver customized advertisements. You can switch off cookies in your browser at any time (as explained above), and you can also ensure that Facebook does not show ads based on your online habits when you log out.

4. Disclosure of personal data to others

We will not disclose or transfer your personal data to others unless there is a legal basis or order for such disclosure.

In order to be able to provide our services in a secure manner, it is necessary to some extent to use third parties to process personal data on our behalf. When this is necessary, we ensure that these third parties, through a data processing agreement, comply with our requirements and those of the applicable legislation at all times for the processing and use of personal data.

Our payment solution for trading in our online store is operated by third-party payment solutions. We provide personal information necessary for carrying out the payment assignment. The payment solution collects and is responsible for processing itself for information necessary for transactions with banks. Your personal data is transferred and processed in line with the third party's own privacy policy.

All processing of personal data that we undertake takes place within the EU/EEA area.

5. Storage period

We store your personal data with us for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which the personal data was collected.

This means, for example, that personal data that we process on the basis of your consent will be deleted if you withdraw your consent. Personal data we process to fulfill an agreement with you is deleted when the agreement has been fulfilled and all obligations arising from the contractual relationship have been fulfilled. Personal data that we process to fulfill a legal obligation from the authorities is deleted when the legal basis so determines. This applies, for example, to bookkeeping and accounting rules.

6. Your rights

As registered with us, you have many rights when personal data about you is processed. You can exercise your rights by contacting us by e-mail or telephone. We will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible, and within one month at the latest. We do this to be sure that we only give access to your personal data to you - and not to someone pretending to be you.

You can always withdraw your consent by contacting info@broxbox.no. Upon deregistration of any newsletter is the easiest to click on the unsubscribe link in our newsletter.
